American Drugstore Makeup Haul

Hello, darlings!

I mentioned in my last haul that my mother just came back from the US and that she picked up a couple of things from the Thanksgiving, Black Friday and other holiday sales. These are only some of them, and I’m sure there are more things to come after Christmas, but let me show you guys some of the products that I am so psyched to finally have! :)

1. Maybelline Color Tattoos

I love cream eyeshadows, so I’m so happy to finally own these bad boys! And these colors are so totally me. I’ve only tried Bad to the Bronze so far, but I love that it’s smooth and creamy (kinda sounds like peanut butter), and it’s so easy to blend. I used it on its own and without a primer, and I had no problems with fading or creasing at all. I also really like the color because it’s a slightly more cool-toned bronze, and it makes it subtle on the eyes. I can’t wait to try the other colors soon. :)

2. L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadows

I have this eyeshadow in the gold color, and I absolutely adore it, so I’m also very glad to have more colors to play with. :D Apparently, these eyeshadows are pressed pigments, which is why the color payoff is amazing. And, it’s called infallible for a reason—the lasting power is amazing, and it doesn’t crease or fade either! My favorite thing about it though is the texture. It’s a powder, but it feels almost like a very creamy powder (does that make sense?). It’s so velvety, and… you just have to try it. I’m really excited to try these out because these colors are so beautiful!

3. Maybelline Fit Me Concealer

You guys know how much I love my Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer, and although this product did not replace that, I’d say this is a pretty top-notch concealer, especially for under the eyes. It’s been in my makeup bag the moment I laid my hands on it, and I really like it. It’s very lightweight so it doesn’t feel heavy under my eyes, and it really brightens that area. For blemishes, I wouldn’t say this is the best, but it covers a decent amount. (Not as good on hyper pigmentation or acne scars though) It lasts a long time on me and it doesn’t crease or fade too much throughout the day.

4. Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

Now, this is the only product I haven’t fully tested out yet since I’ve been enjoying my Body Shop BB Cream recently. I can’t wait to try it out though, since I keep hearing really good things about it. And, I love trying out foundations and other bases, so you guys will probably hear my verdict pretty soon.

(L-R: Lover’s Coral, Pinkognito)

5. Revlon Superlustrous Lipstick

I absolutely adore this range of Revlon lipsticks, but I’m ever so slightly disappointed with this purchase. I’m not much for sheer lipsticks, which these are. Pinkognito doesn’t really do much for my lips on its own, and Lover’s Coral is pretty, but it’s very similar to a lot of my other orangey lip products. I will say though that these are very creamy and glossy and really do look nice. I’d say though that they’re best used in conjunction with another lip product, but I have yet to test that theory out. I looked up swatches online and they looked pretty enough, but I guess it’s still different when you see it for yourself.

 6. Maybelline Color Vivids Lipstick

I also enjoy Maybelline lipsticks very much since they’re extremely pigmented, very creamy and they last very long. Well, the ones I have anyway. I tried Shocking Coral the other day, but since it’s winter, I don’t think neon suits the season, so I blotted it and used the lipstick to stain my lips pink and it is really pretty. I haven’t tried them out to their full extent, but I can’t wait to do it. :) I can’t say too much about them yet, but I’ll keep you guys posted.

I’m really bad at online shopping, so I’m so thankful that my mom bought these things directly from the drugstore, otherwise, I would never have these until after fifty years. But anyway, that’s the haul done! If you guys liked what you saw and want to see swatches or a makeup look using these products, just tell me below and I’ll cook that right up for ‘ya. Plus, it gives me a reason to test out these babies.

Christmas makeup looks to come pretty soon! :) Hope you guys enjoyed and I’ll check back with you guys soon. :)

With love,

Julia
