I know this is horribly late, but life has been catching up with me lately and I’ve been slacking with my blog entries. But, better late than never, right? I’ve already been changing up the products I’ve been using for November, so good thing that I kept track of what I was loving last month! So anyway, here we go:
1. Estee Lauder Invisible Fluid Foundation in 2WN1
This reminds me quite a bit of the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua Foundation except I don’t think you have to shake it as much, but the texture is very similar as well as the finish. It’s very easy to blend, looks very natural (it’s not full coverage, but it covers enough and is buildable), and it feels slightly tacky on the skin. It’s also very long lasting and doesn’t make me overly shiny even when I don’t powder my skin. I’d say it’s ideal for simple makeup days or an everyday look.
3. Maybelline Colorsensational The Jewels Lipstick in Refined Wine
Since it’s autumn, I decided to whip out the darkest lipstick I had that’s autumn appropriate (I could wear black lipstick, but then, I’m not goth), and this was the one I’ve been reaching for the most. It’s very reliable because it glides so smoothly on the lips, and the color lasts all day long without smearing or anything. I believe it stains the lips quite a bit, but I’m not bothered that much. You can also dial it down to give a slight tint to your lips if you don’t want to go full on. If you want to see a swatch, check it out here.
3. MAC Blush in Breath of Plum
I like going matchy matchy with my blush and lipstick, so naturally, I went for a plummier color, and what better product than this one? :) It’s pretty much the same with every other blush from MAC, and it’s just super lovely and gives off the prettiest and most natural plum flush on the cheeks. If you want a swatch of this, click on the same post I linked above. :)
4. Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protectant
I’ve been curling my hair a lot lately, and while I was looking through the shelves at the drugstore, I came across this one. I instantly remembered one beauty guru mentioning that this was her favorite heat protectant, so I decided to pick it up immediately. I’m not too familiar with the science behind it, but I can say that my hair is not damaged at all, this smells very nice (and it lingers in your hair) and it’s so easy to use because it distributes product quite well. TIP: According to this famous hairstylist the best way to use heat protectant is to spray it on while your hair is wet because your hair absorbs the product while it’s drying. :)
And those were my favorite products for the month of October. Seriously, this year is nearly over! Can you believe it?! I’ve already tried out different products this month, so I can’t wait to share it with you guys pretty soon. :) I hope you guys enjoyed and comment if you have any requests for makeup looks. I’ve been working quite a lot so I’m no longer able to party as much, so share your ideas with me if you want. :)
