Drugstore Haul #2

Hello, darlings!

There was an incredible sale the other week for L’oreal, Maybelline and Revlon, so I obviously went on a hungry rampage for new makeup products. The best part about the sale was that the products were pretty much reduced to less than half their usual prices. It’s clear that I went a bit crazy with the lip products at Revlon. Also, a bit disappointing that some products that I wanted weren’t available, but it was probably my wallet’s way of saying “That’s enough.”

I haven’t tried these products out on myself, but I chose them since they’re cult favorites and I was happy when I swatched them on the back of my hand at the shop. Sorry I didn’t do proper swatches for them since I didn’t want to ruin them just yet, but if you’d like to see them featured in a look, just tell me which ones you’d like me to talk about and I’ll see what I can do. :)

Anyway, let’s get started with the haul. :)

Image

1. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Berry Haute

It’s a slightly sheer purple-lilac color, but on the lips (from what I’ve read) it doesn’t make your lips crazy purple.

2. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Mauve It Over

This one is a muted browny red color, which makes for a perfect natural lip. Pigmentation is pretty good, too!

3. Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Cherries in the Snow

This one is a lovely red with a pink undertone; pretty much the perfect strawberry red lipstick, and it’ll be perfect during winter time. (Not that we have winter, but still!) Also, the Super Lustrous Lipstick line of theirs is amazing; the formula is very creamy!

4. Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti

I gave in and bought it since I was enjoy their orange balm stain. They’re pretty similar, but this one is less balmy and more glossy.

5. Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop

This is also pretty similar to the balm stain I have, but again, less balmy and more glossy. The color is slightly more pink than purple, too.

6. Revlon Lip Butter in Sweet Tart

I thought since I was enjoying a more pinky lip, I thought I’d go for a pink shade, which this one pretty much is.

7. L’oreal Rouge Caresse in Milady

I’ve always liked these gloss stains, and this shade in particular will be perfect during autumn since it makes your lips turn into a beautiful burgundy violet if you build it up to an intense color.

8. Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express Waterproof

I’ve tried the original, so I decided to try the others to compare. Not sure how different they are though.

9. Maybelline The Falsies Volum’ Express Waterproof Everlasting

Since the text was black, I thought that this was the Tanya Burr classic but then I’m now confused since they’re all named the same but not… Whatever, we’ll see.

10. Revlon Photoready Concealer in Shade 03

I’ve been wanting to try a drugstore concealer for the longest time (well, I mean, aside from the Collection one) and I decided to go for this one since I read it’s really good. It’s very creamy, but longevity, not so sure yet.

11. Revlon Nail Enamel in Dreamer

This one is a pretty sky blue color, with the slightest periwinkle undertone.

12. Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel in Provence

I love the Colorstay range of polishes since they last a crazy long time! I went for a pastel lilac color since I thought I didn’t have any. I apparently have one.

And that’s the end of my haul! I honestly can’t wait to start using these products, and I’m excited to share my thoughts with you guys as well. I hope you enjoyed reading, and feel free to comment which items you think I should go hunting for next. Or as always, tell me off! Hehe.

With love,

Julia
