Back to School: Wardrobe Essentials

Hello, darlings!

This is the second installment of my Back to School series, where Skye and I talk about things you’re going to need for school (so go check her blog if you want to see her posts)! :D

Today, I’m going to be doing wardrobe essentials. Basically, this is a checklist of the basics you need in your closet so you can come up with any outfit for any school day!

You don’t have to follow this list to the T; adjust it to your style and to your personal needs. But, through the years, I’ve found this list to be helpful so I want to share it with you guys as well!

Let’s get cracking!

1. 4-5 Pairs of Jeans (that fit well)

*This is dependent on the weather in your country.

And those are your wardrobe essentials! If you didn’t already know, you shouldn’t buy all of these in one go. Haha. Add to your wardrobe slowly and find pieces you like that suit your needs. Oh, and you don’t have to have all of these, like I said before. According to research, this is what fashion experts (read: Google) say you should ideally own. I don’t own a cool hat or a pair of dress pants, but oh well.

Also, this is applicable to ANY wardrobe, whether you’re a school girl or a working girl! And unless you’re required to wear a uniform to school or work, well… That sucks, but it’s okay! You don’t have to worry about an outfit combination everyday. :D Oh, and my favorite thing to do to spice up my uniform was wearing really bright colored underwear. It drove my teachers insane (because I studied in a private Catholic school for 11 years)!

Hm, I don’t really need to explain the photos do I? It’s too photo heavy, I don’t think you guys will bother reading anyway. Hehe. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s post where I talk about ”School Bag + Desk Essentials”. :)

But anyway, list the items you think are your ‘wardrobe essentials’ below! I love reading your comments. :D

With love,

Julia

Definitely agree with most of these, I’d also add accessories like scarves to take summer outfits into the fall/winter seasons without having to buy a ton of new clothes for cooler weather.

You’re right, scarves are great accessories! Well, depending where you’re from since over here, you’d just die from heatstroke if you wore a scarf. :P I still love them though! Hehe. :)
