I went to this party the other night called REHAB sponsored by my friend’s frat. It wasn’t a frat party; it was a party sponsored by a frat—there’s a difference. Or so I like to make my mother to think. :D It was held in a club, so you’d expect it to be crowded and sweaty and loud, which it was.
Before the party, my friend and I got ready in my house and this is the finished look, pre-party:
The complete look. I enjoyed this photo so much that it is currently my Facebook profile photo. :D
The focal point of the makeup look is, if you can’t already tell, the eye makeup. It is such a beautiful eyeshadow, and best of all, it’s a dupe for a relatively expensive eyeshadow!
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer in Dark Spot Correcting
Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation in Colour 10
YSL Touche Eclat in 3
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Honey
MAC Skinsheen Bronzer in Billionaire Bronze
MaxFactor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Cardinal
MAC Cream Color Base in Seaside
I didn’t go too smokey since I wanted the eyeshadow to stand out.
Maybelline Brow Powder Duo
NARS Smudgeproof Eyeshadow Base
*Wet’n’Wild Eyeshadow Palette in Comfort Zone (I used the Right Definer as the main eyeshadow, and used the Left Browbone as the highlight)
Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero
Dior DiorShow Lash Plumping Serum
MaxFactor Clump Defy Mascara in Black
*This is a great (and better) dupe for MAC’s Eyeshadow in Club
I paired it with a peachy nude lip combo since the eyes are quite heavy. Plus, I missed wearing nudes!
MAC Lip Liner in Boldly Bare
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Smoked Peach
Benefit Ultra Plus Lipgloss in Dandelion
My friend and I when we first got to the club. We grabbed a seat once we saw they were still available.
My friend and I ended up sitting for most of the evening and drinking ourselves silly. Oh, and of course we played a little bit of “I Spy” where we would turn our radar on for good looking guys. (Admit it! You do the same thing with your girlfriends!) And then we got bored at the party because it was just me and my friend and we’re not comfortable making fools of ourselves when we aren’t in a large group. We ended up playing “Choo Choo Train” (where we shimmy our way through the dance floor, sorta like a two-man conga line, for no reason) the last 15 minutes.
An obligatory bathroom photo, purely because we couldn’t see ourselves in the photos we took in the dark club.
What I Wore:
Off the Shoulder Top – (This is actually my bestfriend’s shirt, but I never gave it back. Hehe)
Black Jeans – H&M
Black Ballet Flats -Melissa
Snakeskin Clutch – Accessorize
Accessories- Accessorize (Are you surprised? :P)
The highlight of the night was possibly seeing my old classmate who I really liked. He poked me in the tummy and said “You look really pretty tonight.” I can see why he would say that, since he would always see me all sweaty and disgusting during class. Sigh. Why did he have to have a girlfriend? :(
Feeling so cool and hip being at a club.
Then, my friend and I went to McDonald’s for our Post-Drinking Burger, which is a tradition I have after I go drinking/to a party. That was probably the best part of the night after seeing my classmate.
The quarter pounder patty is supposed to be really fat and juicy, but it’s not. Oh well.
Because, you know, at the end of the day, all a girl really wants is a bigass burger she can stuff her face with. :D
And look at the entrance! It’s Smurfed out!
Too bad my friend didn’t get wasted out of our minds, but maybe we’re just turning into mature adults? (Hah! Yeah right. You say that after taking a picture with the Smurfs. :P)
