Sparty Time and Makeovers!

God, that title is so cheesy! But anyway, it was my cousin’s birthday today and we were required to wear shorts since it was an at home spa party and people would be massaging our feet or something. I didn’t end up doing it because I was cornered about a couple of times by my aunts saying “You HAVE to teach us how to do our eyebrows!” or “Your makeup looks so nice! You HAVE to teach me how to do your No Makeup Makeup Look!”. Oh, and because I didn’t want to since I didn’t feel like it. I was sitting on the couch and talking to my friend via Facebook Mobile while the rest were playing this wild guessing game and being noisy. Yeah, I am that kind of girl.

Here’s the makeup that made my aunts go mental. I guess I get why it’s a big deal to them. (Probably because they don’t use makeup at all)

Giving my aunt a much needed makeover!

What I Wore:

Denim Top – Debenhams

Aztec Top – Stradivarious

Purple Shorts – Giordano

I spent the rest of the night giving my aunts makeovers, makeup tips and recommendations. It was pretty fun talking about girly stuff, but it was just funny because there I was, a nineteen year old surrounded by 45-65 year old women, and they were just listening to me talk and having their own debates about what to do or where to buy stuff. Then they kept touching my face and looking at me saying how they wished they knew as much as I did or did their makeup as well as I did (oh, pish posh!). I loved that they were obsessing over my brows and saying how nice they are. They were all jealous because they no longer had the patience do theirs since “they’re old” (or so they say). :P

The best compliment of the day came from my uncle though. He said “You know, your makeup looks really nice. You apply it better than your cousin who’s an actual makeup artist. Her makeup is always so thick, but yours isn’t.” My cousin is a fresh cosmetology graduate and she recently got a job at MAC, so I understand why she’s caked in makeup. But, what I love about that compliment is that when a boy likes your makeup, your face is given the stamp of approval. :)

And here is my cousin’s dog! He’s a Beagle! <3

She said she’d give us one when he starts mating and they have puppies! My mom started thinking about it but I said it’s fine since it’ll still a puppy, so it won’t matter if the house is still small. Oh, I can’t wait! I hope she says yes! I also hope that our cat, Henry, doesn’t get jealous though. :P

How was your Sunday? :)

With love,

You’re lucky. :) I started when I was 16, so about 3 years. Nothing professional yet; it’s all for fun. :D What about you? :)

          1. Last year. Late bloomer. I have always done my makeup but now I am actually learning how to do it. If that makes sense :). Well you are good at it.
