Forever Alone

Today was a pretty chill, and I was pretty much asleep the whole day. When I got up, I decided to go book hunting for my class. (Unfortunately, no bookstore had the versions that I needed, so I might just drop by the library tomorrow.) I was thinking about what to wear and went with the typical outfit that the lead girl in this TV show wears. I then debated which makeup look to go for and remembered watching this makeup tutorial on Kim Kardashian last night. I liked that it was a gold smokey eye, and since I obviously have no plans of looking like her any way possible, I went with that instead.

Here are the eyes done.

Here is the finished look, and I still don’t look a thing like Kim Kardashian! Oh poo.

Products Used:

Face:

Smashbox Photo Finish Primer in Dark Spot Correcting (I used my fingers to blend it in)

Giorgio Armani Lasting Silk Foundation in Shade 6 (I also used my fingers to give it a natural finish and added a bit more to areas that needed more covering)

Bobbi Brown Creamy Corrector in Peach (I used a MAC224 to blend it into the darkest areas under my eyes)

L’Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighting Concealer in Shade 3 (I drew a V below my eyes and above my cheekbones to highlight and used a MAC 224 to blend it in)

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Honey (I used a MAC224 on the blemishes on my chin)

Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer in Shade 2 (I used this as a contour and a bit on my cheeks, and used a MAC 187)

Natural Collection Blush in Peach Melba (I used a MAC109 to place it on the apples of my cheeks and blended it upwards slightly)

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Sheer Illuminating Fluid in Sunkissed (I used a MAC130 to stipple it onto the tops of my cheekbones)

Eyes:

Benefit Brows-a-Go-Go Palette (I used a MAC 166 to define my eyebrows, placed the lighter shadow at the front, the darker one at the ends)

MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre (I used my finger to blend it over my eyelids and on my lower lashline

MAC Eyeshadow in Ricepaper (I used a MAC217 to blend this all over my eyelid and on my browbone as a highlight)

L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in Gold Imperial (I used a MAC239 and patted it all over the center of my lids)

MAC Eyeshadow in Woodwinked (I used the MAC239 again and placed this just on the outer corner of my lids and on my lower lashline)

MAC Eyeshadow in Carbon (Using a different MAC217, I blended this into the Woodwinked, on my top lashline and into my crease to create a sort of V shape; I also put the tiniest bit on my lower lashline)

Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner in Black Ink (I used a MAC163 to line my top lashline—I didn’t wing it out, on my tightline and on my waterline, making sure to smudge it a bit onto my lower lashline)

DiorShow Maximer Lash Plumping Serum (Used as a lash primer before putting on mascara)

Bourjois Volumizer Mascara (I put on 1 coat of Step One, 1 coat of Step Two, and another coat of Step 1 to both top and bottom lashes)

Lips:

Estee Lauder Lip Liner (I’m not sure what the names are ’cause they rubbed off, but it’s a double ended lipliner; any browny pink lip liner will do)

MAC Lipstick in Jubilee (I used it straight from the bullet)

I just let my hair air dry and tied it in a half pony tail.

You guys probably can’t see what I’m wearing, but here’s a happy photo of me anyway!

What I’m Wearing:

Love tank top from Forever21

Blue Hoodie from Gap (it’s actually my brother’s, but I think he gave it to me)

Denim Shorts from some thrift store in Baguio

Black Cotton Tights from Debenhams

Black Chucks

Now, for the FOREVER ALONE bit:

I usually hang out at the Starbucks near my house, and I have claimed a spot on one of the couches since I always sit on it whenever I’m there. Seeing as I’m here almost every week, I’ve gotten to know the staff pretty well, and I noticed the customers who frequent this branch. I’m not on the hunt for good looking guys, but of course, I still notice when they’re there.

Today, I was lucky enough to sit across this guy who seemed pretty cute. He had short hair and a long fringe that covered his eyes, and our outfits were pretty similar (he was in a hoodie, a tshirt and shorts). You know how girls think that she and this guy are meant to be just by seeing that their outfits are matchy matchy? Well, I had that. I also liked how he was intently reading this thick selection, and I think he was studying for an exam. After ordering my drink, I told my friend about it immediately and her reply to my message made me laugh so much. I’m naturally embarrassing in public, so I literally laughed out loud. This was not to make him notice me, I just don’t care what people think in general. But anyway, he looked at me and I shrunk in my seat. Like any girl and boy, he and I made constant eye contact which was embarrassing, so I stopped and continued working.

After a while, I decide to look at him again. WELL, WHADDYA KNOW! The girlfriend swoops in and sits beside him. And you know the best part? She was the girl that took my order! I was devastated! At least, on the inside. But anyway, there she was, grabbing on to him like a piece of meat. They started being all lovey dovey and sweet, and I just wanted to hurl. This was the jealousy speaking for sure. And also, I immediately realized that I would be forever alone. I told my friend about it again and she told me to get a cat as soon as possible.

They switched seats, she started feeding him and holding his hand, and he responded by cuddling her and pinching her nose. I was this close to hitting them with a bat. Again, this is the bitterness talking. I’m not actually mad at them, I’m just sad for myself, that’s all. :P After a couple of hours, they left, hand in hand… And I’m still here, sitting alone in my little seat, typing away.

How sad is my life? Hahaha. I knew it was too good to be true. So much for my happy ending! Hahaha. Oh well. Maybe my “boy meets girl at a coffeeshop” love story will happen someday.

With love,

Julia
